There are several opportunities throughout the year for artists to get involved at the Cultural Arts Center! Whether you are looking to exhibit your work or sell products in the gift shop, here is some basic information on how you, as an artist, can get involved:
Artists of every medium and style are invited to submit exhibit proposals throughout the year for consideration. Proposals are reviewed and, if we feel an exhibit is a good fit for one of our galleries, we will bein touch! We have four galleries, including the Glass Doors Gallery that focuses on 3-D art forms, so both 2-D and 3-D exhibits may be considered. Please note: Our galleries are family-friendly. Works that does not fall into this category will not be accepted. This may include nudity, language, gore, etc.

Our gift shop features a diverse array of unique handmade gifts from local and national artists. We are always excited to share new products with our customers. We work with artists on a consignment basis with a40/60 percent split, where the artist retains 60% of their sales price.
To have your work considered for consignment in the Atack Family Gift Shop, please email info about your wares along with sample photographs to programs@artsglenallen.com.
Started during COVID-19, when many shops were closed to in-person shopping, the Handmade for the Holidays digital catalog was a way to promote locally made products and to support Virginia artists. The catalog continues to be a source for shoppers to find unique gifts and home décor for the holiday season.

Click here for the General Info SheetClick here for the 2022 Product SheetRing in the Season (December Slantwall Gallery exhibit) For the month of December we feature a special seasonal display on the Slantwall Gallery. Artists are invited to submit their own handmade wreath creations for show during the month. Wreaths can be any style, medium and season. Past exhibits have included wreaths made of stained glass, fabric, upcycled toys, as well as traditional materials. You’re only limited by your imagination! Want to participate?
Click here for the submission formIllumination You’re invited to use your creativity to create a fun, unique Christmas tree for our annual tree exhibit, Illumination! This exhibit features approximately two dozen unique themed Christmas trees ranging from traditional colors and themes to the outlandish. Help us deck the halls by designing your own tree! This is a great opportunity for groups to share their creativity for the holidays or for individual artists to highlight their talents. Need a tree? Let us know and we can provide you with one from our inventory, if available. Trees range from tabletop (3-4’ each) to x-large (12’ tall).

The Center’s art calendar features artwork by 13 artists (12months plus the cover) throughout the year. Each month highlights a new 2-D or3-D artist and a piece of their work. Artists interested in having their workconsidered to be included can get full details at the link below:
