From his days as a sideman with legendary jazz saxophonist, Joe Henderson to his current roles as a Yamaha Performing Artist and Professor of Trumpet and Jazz Studies at VCU, Rex Richardson has earned accolades as a “genre-busting” international trumpet virtuoso for his playing in both the jazz and classical realms.
