This musical adaptation from the original story by Charles Perrault follows the plot of the traditional fairy tale, but adds delightful surprises and comic situations. The Fairies’ wondrous gifts to the child are given until a single invitation to the party is missed. A prick on the spinning wheel will take its toll on the kingdom. Will destroying all the spinning wheels be enough to save the king’s daughter? Find out as this tale illustrates that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and true goodness is found only in a loving heart.

No matter who you are or what’s in the headlines, the Capitol Steps will tackle both sides of the political spectrum in their newest production, “Make America Grin Again.”  The Washington DC-based comedy troupe that began as a group of Senate staffers, has recorded over 34 albums and has been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS.

Grammy-nominated JD Souther has penned countless hits for the Eagles, Linda Ronstadt, Roy Orbison, James Taylor, Don Henley, George Strait, Trisha Yearwood, Brooks and Dunn and found success as a solo artist. This led him to being inducted into the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2013 and becoming one of the most celebrated songwriters of his generation. On his latest studio album, Tenderness (Sony Music Masterworks), Souther creates a perfect balance of understated jazz with the ineffable pop narratives that have been the backbone of much of his greatest work. His classic albums John David Souther, Black Rose and Home by Dawn have been released as expanded reissues (Omnivore Recordings).
