Please note: Mountain Road will be closed beginning on 2/26 and this closure is expected to last for approximately one month.  Detour signs will be posted. THE OFFICIAL DETOUR ROUTE DURING THE TIME OF CLOSURE WILL BE Woodman Road -> Terry Drive -> Purcell Road -> MOUNTAIN ROAD.

If you are coming the Center on I 295, take the Woodman Road South Exit (#45 B).  Cross over Mountain Road and proceed approximately one mile.  Turn Right onto Terry.  When Terry ends, turn right onto Purcell.  When Purcell ends turn right onto Mountain Road.  Proceed to the Center’s main entrance indicated by the electronic sign and turn left into the Center.

The other option is to come from Staples Mill traveling East.  (The road closure does not affect this route…but the train track might.) safe travels and we look forward to having you visit!


Summer Camps 2024

Art Camps

June 24th - 28th
Art Safari (for ages 7-10):
Calling all artists! This full-day camp combines the love of animals with art. Not only will we learn cool facts about animals and insects, but we will recreate them in watercolor, paint them on canvas, have animal balloon-making, face painting, and more. All art supplies will be provided. On the last day of camp, families are invited to a special art exhibit inside Walkerton Tavern that showcases their campers' artwork.

July 29th - Aug 2nd
ARTventurous! (for ages 11-15): Come celebrate the Year of the Dragon with a dragon mural made by the campers! Later, we will experiment with acrylic paint pouring, edgy DIY shoe fashion (bring your old kicks), plein air painting, jewelry making, and mandala rock painting. All art supplies will be provided. At the end of the week, families will be invited to a special art exhibit inside the historic Walkerton Tavern.

Theatre Camps

June 10th -14th
Triple Threat Theatre (for ages 11-15):
In this weeklong theatre experience, young thespians will have the opportunity to experiment with acting, voice, dance, and collaborate together in either costuming or set design. On Friday afternoon, family and friends are invited to their Theatre Showcase.

July 15th -19th
Dramarama (for ages 7-10):
Lights, camera, action! In this upper-elementary drama camp, campers will be challenged by daily ice breakers and improv games with equally fun friends! Once casting is complete, young stars and starlets will begin rehearsing for their Friday afternoon performance for family and friends.
