During the past nine years of operation, the Center has hosted more than 10,000 live performances, special events, gallery exhibitions, arts-related classes, and special occasions. More than 800,000 visitors have been captivated by The Center's transformation from a historic school into an elite arts center. To honor these achievements, we're throwing a party. And Richmonders are invited!
Through the Arts Celebration, visitors will be able to actually participate in arts activities. Such interactive activities include clay modeling, crafts, culinary (taste testing!), storytelling and dancing. Prefer the passive stance? Well, there's plenty of live entertainment planned to please the masses. Local and regional arts organizations will present mini dance and music concerts. Furthermore, demonstrations in a variety of art techniques will take place throughout the celebration.
Food and other items will be available for a charge.
