This advanced level class is for students who are already familiar with Photoshop. The course will cover unique special effects used to create unusual and interesting imagery from the student’s photographs. Interested in hand tinting a black & white photograph? Wondering how to create a rain drop on the petal of a flower? These techniques and many others will be covered. The class will work exclusively with layers, therefore students must have previous experience using layers or have already taken the class Photoshop A-Z. Class will be taught using both CS and Elements.

Learn how to edit and digitally manipulate photographs using Adobe Photoshop in this comprehensive course. Learn the fundamental features and skills needed to make this software program work for you so that you will be able to work independently with confidence. Students should bring to class a disc or thumb drive with about 10-20 images on which to practice the techniques. Class will be taught using both CS and Elements.

This class covers all the basics from camera functions to malfunctions. That flash can be a menace if it’s not tamed. Is that back lighting getting you down? Begin to see sunsets, nature close-ups, sports and details in a different light. Dust off that old 35mm SLR or show up with your shiny new digital. Each student must have a camera that can be used in manual mode.

Learn how your Digital Camera works. Do you speak “pixel”? I do! Learn the ins and outs of a digital workflow. This class covers the basic functions of the digital camera and the right settings for various situations. Learn terminology and dig into your camera’s capabilities from focus to metering to flash photography. We will cover it all! Participants must bring their own cameras and manuals.
