NEW! Precious Metal Clay & Mold Making

Learn how to make molds using RTV and then “cast” beautiful fine silver (99.9%) pendants, earrings, and/or charms using Precious Metal Clay (PMC). PMC is a clay-like material containing silver powder and a non-toxic binding material. Once the PMC is kiln fired, a 99.9% silver piece is produced. Feel free to bring interesting decorative buttons to experiment with. Returning students – bring your PMC tool kit; Beginners – tools available to borrow. No experience required!

Chain Maille Earrings

Explore the world of chain maille and finish with three beautiful pairs of silver earrings. Chain maille is the ancient art of interlocking jumprings and has become quite popular for making jewelry. Students will make two pairs of Shaggy Loop earrings and a pair of Mobius earrings. No experience required – just bring good eyesight.

The Basics of Beading (ages 16+)

Learn the basics of jewelry design and create your own unique pieces or re-work old favorites. Students will complete a basic necklace using stringing, crimping, opening and closing jump rings, and forming wrapped loops. The instructor will also provide information regarding the tools, findings, etc. required for jewelry making.
